Week 6

Dear Parents,

Since the first week of school, we have been learning how to work independently at literacy work stations. This week, we worked on rotating through work stations, and I captured some adorable pictures as we worked:

Reminders for next week:

  • Scholastic book orders are due Monday, September 20th.
  • Open House is Thursday, September 23rd at 6:30. We hope you can visit our classroom!
  • Tuesday, September 28th is PTA Skate Night/Meeting.
  • Our class field trip will be Tuesday, October 5th. We will be visiting the Pickin' Patch in Billings, MO. We will be leaving Century at 9:00 and arrive at the Pickin' Patch at 10:00. We plan to arrive back to Nixa at 12:30 and have lunch at the park by The Center, and then return to Century at 1:30. Parents are welcome to attend! Look for a permission letter in your child's red folder next week.
  • Remember to read with your child each night and record each book on the September reading log. September reading logs will be due back to me Friday, October 1st.
  • Thank you for practicing spelling words with your child each night.
