About Mrs. Eckhardt

Hello, and welcome to our fifth grade blog! My name is Layne Eckhardt, and this is my sixth year of teaching. I received my Master's degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University in 2009, and I completed my student teaching at Century Elementary here in Nixa. 

I am originally from Carthage, MO. I now live in Springfield with my husband, Brandon, and our two cats, Max and Mitzi. I love running, blogging, Starbucks, decorating my home and teaching. I feel so fortunate to get to be a part Summit Intermediate. Thank you for visiting our blog!
