First Grade News

Greetings, Parents!

I hope everyone had a great week. We were very thankful for the beautiful weather and outdoor recess! Here's the latest first grade news:

  • It was great seeing everyone at conferences! I enjoyed hearing my first graders explain their learning to their families. Thank you so much for attending.
  • Our class won the One for Books contest at Century! Thank you so much for participating! For winning in our grade level, our classroom library got some great new books from the Book Fair. We also raised the most out of all the classes at Century, so we won a pizza party! Our pizza party will be next Friday, February 25th. Look how excited we are to find out we won:
  • We will not have school Monday, February 21 (President's Day).
  • Next week's challenge words are Saturday and calendar.
  • Please remember that learning in our classroom begins promptly at 8:45.
  • By earning compliments at Specials, in the hallway, and in our classroom for our great behavior, our class has earned another Dollar Party! However, since we are having our pizza party next week, we will wait until the following week to have this celebration. More information to follow on this!

***Important Dates***

Friday, February 25-Class Pizza Party

Friday, March 11-No School

Happy Friday!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Eckhardt
