Century's first grade celebrated their first annual Grinch Day on Wednesday! We saw this idea on The First Grade Parade, and we thought it was the perfect way to have some fun before we leave for Christmas break. We spent the morning doing all sorts of Grinchy activities-we read the book, we brainstormed adjectives to describe the Grinch and his heart, we wrote some simile sentences, and of course, we watched the movie. The class loved it!
The Grinch was as green as a snake. His heart was as small as a kitten.
The Grinch was as green as a frog. His heart was as bad as a germ.
The Grinch was as mean as a bully. His heart was as small as a crumb.
