First Grade News

Happy Friday, Parents!

Here is this week's newsletter:
  • Friday, February 10th will be our Valentine's celebration.  We will be making Valentine bears to store the Valentines we receive from our friends.  In order to create this, every student will need to bring one clean, empty, gallon-size milk jug to school by Tuesday, February 7. This will allow me time to cut the milk jugs into the shape we need (I am also needing help cutting milk jugs-Please let me know if you are available to help with this next week.  Thanks!) Please remember to rinse out the milk jug before sending it to school with your first grader.  If you are able to send more than one, I would really appreciate it, to ensure that every student will have one. Thank you for your help with this!
  • Please help your first grader sign his/her Valentines, and we will exchange Valentines on Friday, February 10th.  We have 11 boys and 10 girls in our class.
  • Challenge words for next week strawberry and were.
  • Next week is National School Counselors Week, and we're celebrating with a Spirit Week:
