February 21 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Happy Monday! I'm looking forward to visiting with everyone this week at our parent/teacher conferences!

This week in math we will be reviewing angles and symmetry and we will start exploring area and how to calculate it. In reading, we are still working on comparing and contrasting texts by making connections. In science, we are studying fossils and in writing, we are wrapping up figurative language and starting to study verb tenses.

Reminders:
  • JTSD READS ACROSS AMERICA-The goal is simple—to read as much as possible, and log books, pages, or minutes read outside of assigned class reading time, Feb. 20-March 6. Students can do this using the online form or by turning in a written log. The online log will be accessible via QR codes on posters around school.
  • Don't forget that tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25 is spring picture day!
