Good afternoon! This year, the MAP test is being replaced with a new test, called Smarter Balanced, that will be taken on the computer. We're working hard in our classroom at mastering all the Missouri Learning Standards that we'll need to be successful, but this also means that our kids will need some extra practice with computer skills. Keyboarding, website navigation, etc. are all skills that we want our fifth graders to be strong in, so that when test time comes, they can focus on showing what they know.
Below are some websites that I strongly recommend my fifth graders use to help them develop these skills. The sites are fun, and they'll reinforce the technology fluency that will help our kids be successful not only on their end of the year assessment, but also with technology all throughout school. Please encourage your child to spend some time on these sites, having fun, but practicing valuable skills at the same time. Thank you for your help with this!
