Good Afternoon Parents,
Merry Christmas! I hope this little email finds you all doing well.
I wanted to let you know that our class wrote letters to Santa and they are being published in the Christian County Headliner Newspaper. They will be in the December 22nd edition. We sure had a lot of fun writing these letters together and are most excited to see them in print. If you wish to purchase a copy of your own, the cost of the paper is 75 cents and can be purchased at various locations throughout the county. May you have fun reading these together!
Just a reminder that next Monday is our Christmas Book Extravaganza and if your child desires, they may wear their pajamas to school that day. This event will replace a traditional style class party. The First Grade Teachers are planning some wonderful activities and we are looking forward to sharing this day with your child. I would like to thank everyone that has sent in supplies to help make our day a success. We do have a few remaining items that we could use and I will include that list at the bottom of this email.
I want you all to know how very fortunate I feel to work with each of your families this year. I have such a fun group of students and they make my job a delight! I wish for you and your family a wonderful Christmas break!
Sincerely,
Layne Eckhardt
P.S. - Don't forget that the December Reading Logs are due back January 4th, our first day back from Christmas break.
