Hello again! I blinked and found that another week has flown by. Time for another Peek at Our Week!
Can't believe it...it's week three and we're having indoor recess? Yes, it has been hot before but today it was just *too* hot for us! That's okay, though-we had fun anyway:

Have you heard? We are building incredible reading stamina! The first week of school we were only able to read silently for two minutes without stopping. Today we read for 11 minutes-that's 11 minutes of real, *focused* reading...pretty impressive!

| One of my favorite parts of SSR time is the trust. I teach my firsties how to make a smart choice when choosing a reading spot, then I tell them that I *trust* them to make that smart choice. They haven't let me down! |
I love watching our routines and expectations fall into place. We're laying the foundation for an incredible year of learning!
