This week we are adding something new to our spelling test. Starting this week, each spelling list will have three challenge words for our first graders to practice. I will give out two of the challenge words to the class on Monday, so that they can practice these words and spell them on the test on Friday. The third challenge word will be a surprise word from one of our learning charts in our classroom.
This week’s challenge words are circle and queen, since we have been studying the ir and ee phonograms. The third word will come from a chart on our Trail of Learning or from around the room.
