First Grade News

Good afternoon, Parents!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend!  Here's this week's first grade news:
  • This week's challenge words will be recess and hour.
  • Save the date: November 17th our class will be presenting our Native American Artifact Museum at 6:00 in our classroom.
  • No school on Tuesday November 8.
  • Least Of These extends its sincere thanks for the tremendous response this year to the Can the Tigers food drive competition.  Nixa won the competition for the third year in a row, winning at the football game with the help of the High School Cheerleaders collecting money from the fans.   The final tally was Nixa 21,780 pounds, Ozark 19,232 pounds.  This years competition more than doubled last year’s food drive and helped pack the shelves at the pantry for at least 2 months.  Susan Kendrick, Director at Least Of These, said "we feel so blessed to have the support of the community so we can help our less fortunate neighbors in Christian County".

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
