Here's the news for this short week of school:
- This week's challenge words will be tallest and anything.
- Since the Nixa boys basketball team won on Saturday, the team will play at the state basketball semi-finals in Columbia, MO on Thursday, March 8. Because of that, the district will be having a half-day of classes on Thursday, March 8 with regular "half-day" dismissal times of 11:30 a.m. for grades 5-12 and 12:30 p.m. for grades K-4.
- XLT will have a half day "Kids' Day Off" on Thursday, March 8 at High Pointe Elementary.Cost is $14 for non-XLT children & FREE for current XLT families. Registration begins 6:30 Monday morning to noon Wednesday. You MUST register to attend. Children will be transported to High Pointe from their elementary school.
- Please save the date! Our first grade poetry program will be Thursday, April 19th. Invitations will be coming home soon!
- Everyone is welcome to join the 5K Fun Run Saturday, March 17 at 8:00 a.m. We'll be starting at the Nixa High School football field. I would love to run with my first graders, so if anyone wants to join me, let me know and we can meet up and run together!
- Thursday, March 8-Half day of school
- Friday, March 9-No school
- March 12-16-SPRING BREAK
- Saturday, March 17-5K Fun Run, 8:00 a.m.
- Monday, March 26-last Character Cadets meeting of the school year
