October 11 Newsletter

Good afternoon, Families!

We are now at the end of first quarter. This week we finished our personal narratives and began our proposals for Dr. Chastain on what to do about the erosion problem on our playground. Next week in reading we'll continue learning to summarize the books we're reading, and in writing we'll begin learning to write expository pieces. In science, we'll wrap up our erosion action plans and begin our study of rocks, and in math we will begin studying probability.

Reminders:

Due to close scheduling, please be on time to your conference. If it is time for your conference and my door is closed, please knock on my door. This will help keep me on schedule.
  • Please have your child add an app called Lumosity to their iPad. This is a great "brain break" app that we will use to re-energize our brains throughout the day. Thanks!
