September 12 Newsletter

Our class pet, Mr. Geckhardt, got some time outside his tank today!

Dear Families,

Happy Friday! Here's the latest news from Room 212:

Peek at the Week

Reading We will continue our study of plot by comparing and contrasting plot elements.

Writing We will wrap up our unit on narrative writing by revising, editing, and publishing our imagined narratives during class this week. Finished narratives will be due Friday, Sept 19.

Math We're moving into rounding decimals next week and will quiz at the end of the week. Practice multiplication facts!

Science We will continue our unit on Matter.

Social Studies We tested over map skills and location this week. Next week we will wrap up this geography unit with a brief study of landforms.

**Fifth grade will be taking Acuity tests next week, so it is very important that your child arrives to school on time and well-rested. Thank you!
